Hi, I’m Amur El, LMBT #7174. Having had 17 years experience as a martial artist, then becoming a Certified Personal Trainer and Sports Nutritionist (IFA), adding Licensed Massage Therapist (AMTA) to my repertoire, seemed to be a natural progression.
I received my education from South Eastern School of Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in Charlotte NC also becoming a part of the American Massage Therapy Association. I have been practicing holistic healing and complementary Health care for nearly 15 years, and I’ve seen the complementary health care industry catch a fire.
Over 1/3 of Americans now use complementary care modalities such as massage and bodywork to improve their health and wellbeing (New England Journal of Medicine).

Now armed with intent to empower and enlighten those that I literally come in touch with, Massage appealed to me as the most effective weapon of choice.
Massage is one of the oldest healing arts. Reaching far beyond relieving the stress and tension of everyday living, the benefits of massage are becoming an accepted part of many medical and physical rehabilitation programs, and has also been proven beneficial for many chronic conditions, including lower back pain, bursitis, arthritis, fatigue, high blood pressure, diabetes, immunity suppression, infertility, smoking cessation, depression, and more.
I specialize in Deep Tissue, Swedish and Neuromuscular Therapy. However, all of my techniques are used for the benefit of the musculoskeletal, circulatory-lymphatic, nervous, and other systems of the body. You can trust that you will be in good hands.
Massage Therapy can be attributed to:
relaxing the whole body
loosening tight muscles
relieving tired and aching muscles
increasing flexibility and range of motion diminishing chronic pain
calming the nervous system lowering blood pressure
lowering heart rate
enhancing skin tone assisting in recovery from injuries and illness
strengthening the immune system reducing tension headaches
reducing mental stress
improving concentration
promoting restful sleep
aiding in mental relaxation
and more.......
One thing that drives me is educating people about the benefits of massage. The question is not if you can afford it, its can you afford not to have it. Whats mentioned above is just some of the problems massage has helped, but what you probably don't realize is that massage is good for lowering blood pressure (hypertension), postural distortions (muscular injuries and hamstring pulls), pain management and head aches.
Almost all professional athletes have their own massage therapist. I was even called to work with Beyonce's crew when they performed here in Charlotte.
Calvin Brock (Professional Boxer) visits our clinic regularly, the Charlotte Checkers Hockey Team is now represented by our clinic but you don't have to be an athlete. Many ordinary everyday people are now seeking massage more than any complementary health care profession.

Of the types of alternative care explored, people say they would be most to use massage (80%), vitamin therapy (80%), herbal therapy (75%), and chiropractic (73%).
Do your own research about the benefits of having regular massage. I recommend making massage a part of your regular maintenance(wellness) practice to for the purpose of living healthy, dis-ease free and enjoying life more. You only have one body, one life, take care of it or it will take care of you.
Prior to my career in massage therapy, I had the opportunity to do many rewarding things, but this path that I have chosen has been truly amazing. I still have clients coming to me that I was working with in massage school. The feedback that I receive from my clients and the changes that I have seen in them is what drives me to keep doing what I do. For any massage related questions, fitness boot camp, martial arts, sports nutrition or to set up an appointment for massage please call 704-281-2566 or email me without delay sifuel8@yahoo.com, Thank you.
